Troyka's Coach Zoran Piljevic - The BMO Community Hero of the Game
One of 31 volunteers named as the BMO Community Hero of the Game is one of Troyka's coaches, Zoran Piljevic. He was recognized for his good work by a committee at the Raptors - Pistons game on March 25, 2008.
We are very proud to have one of our volunteers recognized for significant contribution as a volunteer to Troyka's programs. Zoran was nominated by the Bantam Boys Team. Zoran has coached many of these players since the 2004.
From November 1, 2007 to March 25, 2008 for each of the 31 Raptors home games, one BMO Community Hero nominee was chosen by the judging committee and named as the BMO Community Hero of the Game. The Bank of Montreal (BMO) has managed this well-recognized program.
House League "Play More" starts March 1, 2008
Our house league returns for a "Spring 2008" season on March 1, 2008. For more details visit "Play More" website.
No practice on October 6th
There will be no practice on October 6th due to a Holiday.
NBA Games
We are planning to visit Toronto Raptors games again.
We have following dates confirmed:
After the game, we have central court in ACC available for club activities. More details on planned activities will be available at the later date. Due date for submitting the cheques for this game is October 27th.
Toronto Raptors vs. San Antonio Spurs, Monday, Febrary 11th, 2008, at 7:00PM .
Cheques are due January 12th.
Toronto Raptors vs. New Orleans Hornets, Sunday March 30th , 2008, at 6pm.
Cheques are due March 1st.
Please note that you may order ticket for your family and friends too. Tickets are $20 for the club members and $26 for friends and Family.
Registration for 2007/2008 season
Registration for new season is available online at http://www.trojka.org/kosarka/upis/.
Deadline for payments is October 13. The fee for 2007/2008 season is $180 for a first child, $150 for a second child and free for other children from a same family. Cheque should be written to " B.C. Troyka" and name(s) for children should be noted on the cheque. Fees could also be paid in two parts, with first cheque dated with the present data and second one with January 2008 date.
Schedule for 2007/08 Season
New time for basketball practices is Saturday 9am to 3pm. Practices will be held at "George S. Henry Academy" school (200 Graydon Hall Drive - map). Same as last year, we will have 2 gyms available.
This season, every group will have 90 min of gym time. We hope that should help improve quality of practices and games.
