About the League
The League "Play More" is organized within the scope of the Basketball club "Troyka".
The league was organized based on similar sports clubs and as recommended by Canadian national organizations for promoting sport among youths and children - NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program).
Every team will have 4 players on the court and the game will be played on the side courts. This will give the opportunity to all children to be actively involved in the game, hopefully increasing their interest in basketball and in the league.
One of the main principles of the league is that each child will spend the same amount of time in the game. The main goal for children is to have fun in the game and to enjoy the competition. The final result is secondary.
Coaches
The main responsibility of the coaches is to ensure that each child spends the same amount of time in the game. Coaches are responsible for promoting good sportsmanship among the players. Coach's names can be found on each age group's web page.
Organizers
Every age group has an organizer responsible for the functionality the competition. Names of the organizers can be found on each age group's web page.
Referees
Besides officiating the game, referees are also responsible for helping children during the game. This is especially true for the younger groups. With respect to this, referees will follow all rules and regulations of basketball.
